Sounds Familiar

Earlier this 2008, I told myself that one of the things that I should accomplish this year is to do a charitable act. And truly, this was achieved via the Sounds Familiar, a dinner for a cause concert held in Iloilo Grand Hotel. It served also as my recital after being trained for 2 years by the famous Arne Lubasan of USA Troubadours and University of San Agustin Conservatory of Music. Another featured artist was Liesil Tuburan Sausa, who has a very powerful and sweet coloratura soprano voice. Guest performers were Wynn Natividad, Charlie Castor, and male members of USA Conservatory who sang with me, " My Girl ". All of us went through Sir Arne's training. I heard that Wynn and Sir Arne will be having their solo shows later this year, too ! Good luck guys ! I will surely be there !

Just a few minutes away from my office, are two of my favorite destinations here in Cebu City --- the Ayala Center in Cebu Business Park ( because of Rustan's ) and the Northwing of SM City Cebu. The latter is the newest wing of the said mall and its just so chic and classy that you will think you are not in SM. :) And it has Breadtalk, Powerbooks, Diego, Philosophy, etc. Haay, I so love this place. Their event center is just so romantically - industrialistic ( blogger's own words ). Weekly, they do have piano shows. Wala lang, just to provide a lounge-y afternoon in the mall with a pianist doing his own thing a la recital. So nindot. And yes, did I mention that they have a Duty Free Shop inside ?

Blog Heads Up

It's been a long time. And that long time finally ends.

I have never imagined myself to open a blog or to be a die-hard blogger for many reasons:

1. no time - most of my times are spent on work, gym, and other lifestyle thingies

2. no gadgets available - poor me. That's why as of the moment, I will have to content myself with grabbing some of my friends' pix.

3. gets easily impatient/annoyed on downloading/uploading, etc. to the extent of thinking to throw my computer out of the window for being sooo slloooowwwwww.

4. blogging is not just for me, i guess ( vague statement ). It's just for my friends. And I do love ogling at their pages, especially if I see myself in all glorious splendor.

And finally

5. ( i shouldn't admit this to the world, tsk, but the heck ! ) I consider myself a blog/web illiterate. Well, that's totally different from being a computer illiterate. And for all of those who consider themselves as uber-literate with the blog/web, do drop me some helpful stuff !

But I guess, with a very friendly digicam and a truly useful laptop, I have to erase those things that hinder me. After all, I thought of them eons ago. And another after all, it's time to explore, get out of my comfort zones ( yes, lots of them ) and share to the world my life and style.

Ok then, we'll just ride with the flow. And as with any tripper, enjoy the trip of my life and style.
